Our partners

WeCASOR and PIRES Institute are partners of Conquerors Medical Center in two distinct areas. WeCASOR is our research partner; PIRES Institute is our education partner. Their own websites are the primary sources for current programs and opportunities. Partnership does not by itself mean a study is recruiting at the medical center or that a course has open admissions.

Research partner: WeCASOR

WeCASOR is the West and Central Africa Stroke Outcomes Research Network, a collaborative platform for stroke outcomes and health systems research. It publishes information about stroke care pathways, access to rehabilitation, and communication and trust. Conquerors Medical Center identifies WeCASOR as a research partner, with Evuen Emegeh, MS, assigned to research activities at the center.

Partnership and study status should be read separately. WeCASOR's website describes network-level active studies. A project involving CMC would need a specific local role, protocol and relevant approval before the center could invite participants.

WeCASOR hosts public surveys on clinical trial awareness, care-seeking and communication. Survey titles and links may change; the official survey page is the best source for current forms, language choices and participation information.

Education partner: PIRES Institute

PIRES Institute is the education partner of Conquerors Medical Center. The partnership creates a place to connect health work with practical learning in clinical research, public health and community engagement. A local learning environment can help people ask better questions, keep clearer records and understand why ethical safeguards matter.

Potential activities may include introductory clinical research learning alongside community health topics. These describe the direction of the partnership, not a current admissions announcement. Course dates, fees, curriculum, credentials and enrollment should be taken from PIRES Institute's official information once published and confirmed.

Education can support the medical center's work without turning patient visits into teaching sessions by default. Patient privacy and appropriate consent must guide any learning activity that involves care settings or records.
